Safework was founded by Natalie, the director.
I actually fell into HR without intention. For the last ten years I moved from people management into operations, and HR blended in somewhere along the way. I found myself really enjoying what I was doing and decided to study with the CIPD. After 3.5 years of study, I’m now an Associate Member of the CIPD, work fully in HR management, and can honestly say I’ll never look back.
The Safework journey began when I found myself in more and more conversations with friends, family, and acquaintances who were running their own businesses and facing staff issues. Some of the solutions and conversations made me want to hide under the nearest table! This led to me providing guidance, support, and advice to help keep people on the right side of the law, reduce risk to the business, and ensure they felt confident in what they needed to do.
Fast forward to now, and Safework thrives on providing that same support to small businesses across Scotland. Knowing I can simplify HR, make it easier to navigate, and build confidence around what can be stressful issues for small businesses is what drives me every day.
